Visitor Centre
It is located in a small and remote Village in Patagonia. This climate-responsive building serves as a visitor welcome centre providing comprehensive information about the pre-Colombian cultures that inhabited the area many years ago.
The brief is complex and provides a off the grid system as services are inexisting in the area. Its program involves a reception/information hall, public toilets, a supply store, an internet bar, a locker room for backpackers, meeting rooms, and offices for tour guides and drivers.
The diverse requirements provided by the Patagonia Council created a black canvas to create an environmentally friendly construction based on local resources such as local hardwood that will naturally age and salvaged stones resembling ancient construction systems.
